Lodi
situation regarding Muslim-Americans being detained and questioned

impact on
the
Muslim community as a result of harassment by

Federal government.

Religion is not a motivation for terrorism.
The media uses Religion out of convenience and lack of
understanding.

Membership Drive
to Raise Funds to Compensate for Anticipated $20,000 National JACL
Budget Deficit in 2005.
·
National Organization expects maximum budget deficit for 2005
fiscal year is $20,000. If
the
seven districts can bring in 500 new or lapsed members,
the
membership dues would cover deficit.
·
District has decided to loan (no due date) money to national
to cover deficit on an annual basis from General Fund.
Amount loaned is equal to (500 * 1/3) – Actual NCWNP Membership
Drive Numbers = Membership Drive Number Shortfall * Membership Dues =
Total Loan to National to be restricted to use for Cost of Living
Adjustment retroactive to Jan 2005 = $20,000.
