FLORIN JACL 10TH ANNUAL MANZANAR PILGRIMAGE
On April 24, 2015, members of the Florin JACL and CAIR-SV organizations embarked on the Florin JACL's 10th Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage. We would like to especially thank Dr. Satsuki Ina, a community activist, licensed Marriage and Family therapist, and an award-winning filmmaker, for her role as this year's key note speaker. Her moving speech seen in this video parallels the group's ongoing discussions about the impact of the Japanese Internment Camps, struggles our past and future generations continue to face, and the strength behind a united voice.
This video was created in a 48 hour period to allow members of the two groups an opportunity to reflect on their journey to Manzanar- the stories, the friendships, and the energy from those who attended.
Watashi wa Manzanar!
